A must-read book

It is a wonderful book that gives an insight on not only the nuances of attending interviews but also on the deeper aspects such as habits and lifestyles.

The author’s style of writing and usage of words are well seasoned and though simple, has a touch of elegance and eloquence.

I am particularly impressed with the 40 winning habits explained in the book. It not only teaches the ways to excel in an interview, but rather helps in developing winning attitudes in the normal course of life.

I personally feel I have obtained a clear understanding on how to prepare my CV in an efficient and eye-catching manner.

I recommend this book to be read by all, despite the age, qualification and profession.

Research Advisor (Computer Science); Company Director

Becoming Recruitable, authored by Ash Nan, is an eye-opener to the students aspiring for a grand opening in the corporate world. The book dwells deep into the nitty-gritty involved in the recruitment cycle, starting from the preparation of the Resume to the post-interview summary.  The author has discussed in depth, in each chapter, the essence of how to ace
the interview. The nuances are brilliantly dealt with.
The author’s dual approach makes this book an essential ready reckoner for first-time job seekers as well lateral recruits.
The instructional design of the book is well-taken care of in each chapter, with prelude and entry behaviour carried over from the previous chapter.
Every reader must pay close attention to the critical Chapter 8, “Building a 23 – Cylinder Wartsila Engine”, because CV building is the critical parameter in any interview, which the author has dealt with in a detailed manner. Readers must learn from this book, through unlearning earlier material which are irrelevant and relearn for reinforcement to take correct action before and during the interview.
Investing in this book is an ROI. As an academician and corporate professional, I earnestly advise students and those aspiring to switch jobs to buy and benefit from this invaluable book.
The author deserves a special appreciation for the content and presentation.

Columnist – Tarot Reader

Becoming Recruitable “by Ash Nan Mentor is “a must-read.”

It’s written with fantastic clarity for job seekers and job switchers. The step-by-step guidance in all aspects of preparation for interviews and getting that “dream job” instils incredible confidence to face interviews.

Even the demeanour before entering the interview room has been very well written. The in-depth analysis of how interviewers behave and their moods are remarkable, making the reader get “into the skin of the interviewer.” My favourite is the Dress code analysis. It’s the best I have read so far. Also, the suggestion of taking adequate rest the previous day expresses the author’s concern. Only a genuine Mentor with years of on-the-field experience can write on little-remembered habits of life and time management in such a lucid manner.
This book will inspire generations of youngsters and future seekers.
Kudos!

A very valuable book for first time job seekers & Job switchers.

Many people tend to think of interviews as something that is either easy or difficult for them, without realizing that it is a necessary skill that can be improved with practice. I was hoping to find something that can give me the best possible chance in acing my interviews.
I came by this book and was very impressed by the author’s expertise and experience. With 15 years of experience coaching candidates to pass interviews, the author knows the ins and outs of the interview process and provides a wealth of helpful advice and tips.
This was reflected in the level of detail and comprehensiveness of the book. It covers the entire process of interviewing and covers a wide range of topics, from how to prepare for an interview and what to expect, to how to answer common questions and make a good impression. It also includes some excellent tips on things like how to research the company and the interviewer, how to avoid common pitfalls and mistakes, and how to follow up after the interview.
One of the most interesting chapters was the one on different types of interviewers and how to deal with each type. This was very useful because it helps the reader understand that not all interviewers are the same and that different strategies may be needed depending on the interviewer’s style and approach. For example, some interviewers may be more focused on technical skills, while others may be more interested in cultural fit or personality.
Overall, I found this book to be very helpful and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is preparing for an interview. It is well written, easy to follow, and packed with useful information. It really was a comprehensive guide on acing your next interview and will leave you feeling well prepared and confident. If you are looking for a book that will give you insight into the field and provide excellent tips on how to succeed in your next interview, “Becoming Recruitable” is a great
choice.
